Impact & Success Stories
Our WeGen initiative stands as a blueprint for the future: converting Hong Kong's urban food waste into chemical-free agricultural produce through a proven circular economy model.
A Circular Ecosystem, Refined.
Through strategic partnerships with Hong Kong's leading food and retail groups, we've operationalised a localised circular economy that restores both soil and community.
Resource Collection
Pre-consumer food waste — fruit peels, coffee grounds — gathered from 70+ Maxim's locations across Hong Kong.
Urban InputTransformation
Proprietary microbiome technology converts collected waste into nutrient-dense eco-enzyme formulations for soil health.
Scientific ProcessRegeneration
Hung Yat Farm uses these eco-enzymes to grow chemical-free produce on local soil — no fertilizers, no pesticides.
Growth StageRetail Return
Fresh harvest returns to partners' shelves under the Grounds to Goodness brand, completing the circular journey.

Measured to an ISO 14067-aligned methodology by RESET Carbon, an independent consultancy. Not an estimate, and not ours. Scope 3 is where most hospitality carbon sits and where the data is worst; a supplier who has already run a product carbon footprint gives your reporting a traceable line item instead of an industry average.
"Our mission is to prove that circular economies are not just possible, but profitable and sustainable for the long term."
Pre-consumed food waste from roughly 70 Maxim's restaurants, cumulative to November 2025.

Maxim's Group and the WeGen Programme
WeGen is Maxim's Group's own sustainability initiative. Hung Yat is its largest single contributor: we take pre-consumed waste from roughly 70 of their restaurants, ferment it into living bio-agents, and return chemical-free produce to the same kitchens. 7-Eleven carries the resulting line under the co-branded Grounds to Goodness name.
Logistics Synergy
Optimised collection from 70+ locations across Hong Kong, reducing the urban carbon footprint.
Quality Assurance
Rigorous scientific testing of every eco-enzyme batch, validated by SGS independent certification.
